Post Re: DESIGNS
Forgive my ignorance, but the only one I recognize is the 7 Fld Amb in the upper left. Correct? Can you ID the rest of them for me, Bitte? Danke.

Starting at the top left and moving clockwise:

Royal Army Medical Corps

Royal Corps of Transport (now Royal Logistic Corps)

Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

Royal Army Ordnance Corps (now Royal Logistic Corps)

Royal Army Pay Corps (now Adjutant General's Corps)

Army Catering Corps (now Royal Logistic Corps)

Royal Army Dental Corps

Hope this helps El Maxx, there is one badge missing which was the Mixed Services Organisation which was made up of personnel displaced from Soviet controlled countries at the end of WW2. They have a proud history of serving the British Army of the Rhine. Their cap badge was a large brass disc with the letters MSO in it. Those involved in transport often had a Royal Corps of Transport cap badge with the central Royal Cipher (ER) removed and the letters MSO instead.

After I left the army I went to Hamm as a MSO and was driving Scammel Crusaders and Antars
The Mso unit was a well organised mob and it was fun to work with them
In fact the Great Nobby Nobbs joined us as well he was driving the COs Staff car and If my memory is correct he actualy
also went on to drive the Mighty Antar
Stu

A Antar
This was the ultimate drive i can tell you ! You could walk round the cabin and if you missed a gear it was a crate of beer for the rest of the Convoy cos you had to stop .and so did they :(

Don't wish to be 'Picky', El Maxx, and I haven't checked but was that badge from a website called 'Shiny 7', as opposed to 'Shiney'? I did a search once and missed out the 'E' which, of course, gave me a different site. :)

I am very impressed with Mark's effort, especially since he included my outfit. The RCT badge, incidentally, used to be RASC (Royal Army Service Corps). Think we need a few more design suggestions, then we could have a competition where the winner buys everyone a drink. Good idea? :D

Hi Mark can we get that desien on the lapel badge and the tie :D
the badge I sent is the base of the ash tray that PRI had on sale before I left, so there should be others as the track suit badge I have is the same only smaller.
